Kkamnangun is based on my childhood memory of learning the Korean alphabet from my blind grandmother.
My sister is a fine artist who illustrated this story. It is a bilingual book written in Korean and English and was also published in braille in 2021.
Since it was published in 2020, it has been introduced by public media, magazines, and newspapers.
Kkamnangun was selected as an audiobook by the Publication Industry Promotion Agency in Korea in 2021.
This year, it was adapted into a puppetry performance by a Korean puppetry theatre company, Insari, and chosen as the featured domestic piece for the 2024 Chuncheon Puppet Festival, a prestigious event in Korea.
