The title Childfree Neighbor is inspired by the chatter of nosy neighbors commenting on those who don’t have children—the so-called "odd ones out," a group that might represent the new normal in later years.

Many individuals are now making more conscious choices about parenthood. Some opt out of having children for various reasons: the high cost of raising a family, doubts about their ability to give the best for a child, or concerns about the planet’s future. At the same time, those choosing parenthood are doing so with intention, equipping themselves with parenting knowledge, sharing responsibilities, and prioritizing self-care alongside raising kids.

Childfree individuals are often misunderstood in a region where parenthood remains the norm. Meanwhile, they may struggle to comprehend why others choose to raise children in today’s world. This Childfree Neighbor cultural documentary magazine aims to bridge the gap, offering perspectives from both sides.
